Kincardine Yoga Fest
Was co-founded in 2016 by Eric Cunliffe of Shakti Rhythm Yoga and Darrel Perry of Penetangear Clothing as a local charity event. The initiative is intended to combine the focus of wellness and healthy living with the unmatched beauty of the Kincardine shoreline.
This began as a grassroots event and has grown each year. Our main events take place on the North Pier at the bottom of Harbour Street in Kincardine.
We look forward to welcoming you and appreciate your cash donations with 100% of the proceeds going to a different local charity or organization in need each year.
We would like to thank our co supporters and sponsors that continue be amazing additions to each year.
If you are interested in joining us for any of the events please call Penetangear at 519-396-7791 or email info@penetangear.com to secure a spot.
Recommendations for all attendees for maximum enjoyment:
Bring a yoga mat, possibly two as the pier is made of concrete
The class style is intended to provide as much safety and enjoyment as possible so please consider choosing the one that best suits your needs
Please arrive 15 minutes before the event start time to register and get settled
Please bring water, we are in direct sun most of the time so stay hydrated and consider sunscreen
Bring any supportive yoga props you wish to use such as blocks or a blanket
Please bring cash for donations (we welcome any amount)
We will often enjoy a pier jump into the lake post class (especially on the final day) so consider joining us
Washrooms are not available on site but a short distance north of our event is McPherson/Tiny Tots Park which has facilities
This is an outdoor public event so be prepared for some environmental noises
Events are weather dependent
Please only attend if you are feeling well
Consider sharing your experience on social media and tagging us in the photo with our business #shaktirhythm #penetangear or #kincardineyogafest as it will build awareness of the charity we are donating to. Please also be considerate of others’ wishes in taking photos.
